Literacy Concierge Services – FAQ

1. What exactly is the Literacy Concierge Service?
It’s a personalized reading and writing support program for children ages 3–8. We assess your child’s literacy level, develop a custom plan with engaging activities and materials, and provide guidance over 4–6 weeks to help them grow—whether they need extra support, are on track, or are ready for enrichment.

2. Who is this service for?
This service is ideal for families with preschoolers through 3rd graders—whether your child is just starting to recognize letters, confidently reading, or looking for more challenge. We tailor the plan to your child’s specific level and needs.

3. Where do sessions take place?
We offer flexible options: your child can come to our NJ READy 2 PLAY center in Montclair, or we can come to your home (depending on location).

4. What happens after the assessment?
You’ll receive a personalized action plan that includes literacy goals, developmentally appropriate activities, curated materials, and strategies for at-home support. We walk you through everything step-by-step.

5. Can I ask questions during the 4–6 week period?
Yes! We’re here to support you throughout the process. You’ll have access to us via email or text for any questions, clarifications, or updates. Think of us as your literacy partner during this time.

6. What happens at the follow-up?
Around 4–6 weeks after the assessment, we’ll schedule a follow-up call to review your child’s progress, celebrate growth, and adjust the plan if needed.

7. How is this different from tutoring?
This isn’t traditional tutoring. It’s a whole-child, play-based approach rooted in literacy development, designed by an experienced literacy specialist and curriculum expert. Our focus is on engagement, confidence, and long-term love of learning. However, if you prefer traditional tutoring we offer those services as well.
