Early Speech & Language Development for Babies!

 6 months-18months

Our Babbles & Books class is designed to help babies ages 6–18 months explore the building blocks of speech and language through songs, sensory play, and interactive stories. Led by an expert speech and language pathologist with years of experience, each session focuses on nurturing communication skills in a fun and engaging way. Through simple songs, rhymes, and hands-on activities, babies will strengthen their ability to listen, respond, and begin expressing themselves.

Storytime & Exploration
Giggles, Play, and Language Exploration for Little Learners!

1-3 years

In Storytime & Exploration your child will have a blast while developing important language and social skills! Each week, your toddler will enjoy an interactive storytime, followed by hands-on play activities like painting, play-dough, water play, and sensory bins—all designed to spark creativity and learning.

​Spoonfuls of Stories & Skills​ Cooking & Learning for Preschoolers!

In our Spoonfuls of Stories & Skills class, preschoolers will embark on a fun-filled, no-bake cooking adventure while building essential phonics and phonemic awareness skills! Each week, we'll read stories, explore recipes, and follow fun steps to create delicious no-bake treats. As we measure, mix, and experiment, kids will practice early literacy skills, sequencing, and basic math, all in a playful, hands-on way.

• Phonics Fun: Engaging in sound and letter activities as we read recipes and name ingredients.

Story 2 Stage (5-8 years)

Stories, Storytelling, & Theater Collide!​

During Story 2 Stage explore the magic of storytelling, creative drama, and playwriting! Led by Liz Samuel of Montclair Story Salon, children will have the opportunity to act out scenes from their favorite stories, engage in theatre games and improvisational exercises, and begin to write their own plays as a class.

 

Along the way, they'll discover how to recognize and understand the language in a script, learning how dialogue and stage directions work to bring stories to life. By the end of the session, they’ll have created their own short play, ready to perform for the group. It’s a fun and imaginative way to develop confidence, creativity, and a love for storytelling!

• Discover the Magic of Picture Books: Experience the joy of reading aloud and the thrill of exploring characters, settings, and plots in beloved stories.

Weekend Fun for the Whole Family – Books, Play, and Learning Together!

READy 2 Play Weekends is a special weekend class designed to engage children of all ages in joyful learning, play, and family bonding. Each week, we’ll kick things off with an interactive read-aloud, carefully selected to support the emerging literacy skills of children at various stages. Parents and caregivers are invited to join in the fun, participating alongside their little ones in the story and play!

After the story, your child will have the chance to make choices and explore a variety of play stations related to the day's theme. Activities can include painting, music, dramatic play, book-making, water play, and more. The Saturday playtime is designed to encourage open play, allowing families to bond and create lasting memories together.

Stories & Science: A Hands-On Learning Adventure for Toddlers

(1.5-5 years)

Is your toddler ready for an exciting, hands-on learning experience? Our Stories & Science class is a dynamic 45-minute adventure designed to engage curious young minds through reading, science, writing, math, and art—helping toddlers explore and discover in every way.

 

In this class, storytelling is at the heart of learning. Through carefully selected, engaging books about nature, animals, and the environment, we’ll introduce your toddler to foundational literacy skills. As we read, your child will develop language skills, vocabulary, and comprehension, all while being transported to imaginative worlds where they can connect with the natural world around them. The interactive stories will not only spark their imaginations but also encourage them to ask questions and make connections—important steps in their literacy journey.

 

After the story, toddlers will dive into hands-on science activities that bring the themes to life. Whether exploring plant growth, learning about animal habitats, or observing weather patterns, your child will experience science in a way that encourages curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking.

Reading Adventures (ages 2-5 years) 

 

Give your little the perfect blend of fun and learning with Reading Adventures! Designed to keep little ones engaged and excited, this class runs from 12:00 to 1:00 PM, offering a wonderful mid-day break before nap time or afternoon activities. Each week, your child will embark on a new adventure with exciting stories, interactive science experiments, playful cooking sessions, phonics games, sensory exploration, and much more! These hands-on activities are carefully designed to help boost early literacy skills, spark creativity, and promote cognitive and social development in a playful environment. In addition, littles will also practice mindfulness and self-regulation strategies through yoga poses, coloring, and mindful breathing.

Toddler No-Bake Cooking Class: Learning Through Play!

 

Join us for a hands-on, no-bake cooking adventure where toddlers explore the world of food while building essential literacy skills! Each class, we'll read simple recipes, follow sequences, and learn about ingredients through interactive stories and fun activities. As we mix, measure, and create, children will be exposed to early math, writing, and comprehension skills—all while making delicious, no-bake treats.

Aventuras en Español – Spanish Immersion Class

5-8 years

This dynamic Spanish immersion class, offered in partnership with Chocolingua Academy, introduces young beginners (ages 5–8) to the Spanish language and the diverse cultures of Latin America and Spain through interactive and engaging activities. No prior experience in Spanish is necessary—all beginning levels are welcome!

​

Students will build basic vocabulary and conversational skills by participating in real-life scenarios, providing an authentic immersion experience. They will explore traditional stories, music, dance, art, and games from different Spanish-speaking countries, making language learning both meaningful and fun.

​

Each week features a unique theme, allowing children to learn Spanish naturally through hands-on experiences such as singing traditional songs, engaging in imaginative play, creating cultural crafts, and participating in interactive games.

​

The class concludes with a special celebration where students showcase their Spanish skills and the knowledge they’ve gained. Families are invited to join the final session to celebrate their child’s language and cultural journey!
